UPHOLSTERY CLEANING

HERE IS WHERE WE ARE REALLY DIFFERENT THAN THE OTHER FIRMS!

I’ll start off by telling you how everyone else does their cleaning- they use their steam cleaning unit, either portable or truck mount.  This is the rage in our industry and whether you know it or not, this is an industry where everyone does what everyone else does.

EXCEPT US.

Why do all of the others use steam?  I cannot fathom an answer except it is fast and they can charge the same price as me but do it in one-third the time or even faster.

Since we get lots of other cleaners to call us for help, where they have screwed up, I can tell you what they do wrong:

THEY STREAK IT, THEY SHRINK IT, THEY GET IT TOO WET SO IT DISCOLORS, IT OFTEN GETS AN ODOR FROM GETTING TOO WET AND, MOST COMMON, THEY DO NOT GET THE DIRT OUT, ESPECIALLY ON THE ARMS, THE SEATS OR WHERE THE HEAD RESTS AGAINST THE BACK OF THE CHAIR OR SOFA.

What do we do that is DIFFERENT?

FIRST OF ALL, we thoroughly beat the fabric and get out all of the dust.  This is essential BECAUSE IT IS THE DUST THAT CAUSES THE ABRASION IN THE FIRST PLACE and this is one of the main reasons for cleaning something, not to just get it to look better.  Unfortunately, I have not yet another cleaner who emphasizes this or even does this.  I have had many experiences where I have been in a home to give an estimate for cleaning carpeting or re-dyeing some leather upholstery and the lady mentions that she just had her upholstery cleaned (not knowing that I provided this service).  I shamelessly take my hand and smack down on the cushion she just had cleaned and she is in horror when the dust just flies out.  I explain to her how this happens (the bellows effect) and how the other guy did not bother to get the dust out before he did any cleaning and that now, as soon as the item is sat on, the dust flows in and out of the fabric just as before.

OUR SECOND MOST IMPORTANT STEP IS SOMETHING THE OTHER GUYS JUST DON”T DO-  We actually work on all of the spots, spills or discolorations FIRST, by hand, and THEN WE SHAMPOO, BY HAND, AND SIMULTANEOUSLY VACUUM TO EXTRACT THE SHAMPOO ALONG WITH THE OILS AND SOIL WITH IT.  We do this work in your home or office (we want you there to see how we do it, how long it takes and in order to point out anything out of the ordinary.  Our men have tarps and large blowers so that they clean it in place and dry it as they are working on it.

Keep in mind that we are also capable of just cleaning areas in need without doing entire sofas, chairs, chaises or other items, when this is possible. 

WHAT DO WE CLEAN?  IT IS EASIER TO ASK WHAT WE DON’T CLEAN.

THERE IS NOTHING THAT WE DON’T CLEAN.  WE CLEAN ALL FABRICS.  Remember, what others say can’t be done we are the ones to call for that second opinion.
