AREA RUG REPAIR, RE-WEAVING &
RESTORATION
I have personally been learning
about these things from an expert from Persia. I do some of
the work myself or I use my expert. Here again, if somebody
tells you it can’t be done, ask me. Over and over, I have
been referred to as a miracle worker because I come up with ideas
of how to do something that even my expert re-weaver says can’t be
done. Where there is a will, there is a way. I have one
of those heads for creativity, and combined with the desire to do
what others can’t do, you are the one to benefit.
SOME OF THE MORE COMMON REPAIRS

or missing- the new fringe comes from the foundation yarns
from your rug, not from something new that is glued or sewn
on

along the edge
Repairing chewed corners or edges
of a rug (thanks, Fido)
Re-weaving holes or large gaps or
tears or ripped areas, no matter how extreme
Cutting down the size of a rug and
still matching the pattern
Repairing or replacing binding on
area rugs and exotics like sisal, coir, seagrass
Re-coloring stained or bleached
areas
Re-laytexing the backing of a
rug
Blocking & sizing of rugs
(especially needlepoints)
